“beLIEve” by Helen Han

The time when I wrote the following poem was during the intense period in Pakistan. Everyday I saw ruthless images on the news, it struck me how just 4000km away, people are suffering and dying. With the inspiration of how there are "LIE" in every "beLIEve", I wrote the following acrostic poem.

beLIEve
By Helen Han

"believe us, we tried our best,

endangered civilians is not our plan."
Lives of children, lives of seniors,
It is not the shield for political use.
Eager for peace, begging for survival,

various countries had made this clear:

end the war, no more lies.
