“Foolish” by Jessica Li

Hello readers, I am the author of “Foolish”, Jessica Li G9L. Some of you might already discovered that the theme is about the harmful effects of drugs on people. I was been inspired by an article about the drug’s effect on drug addicts’ families. I decided to use a vague method of expressing what I saw, also a hidden message in the poem.

Foolish

Forms of clouds,

Or white cotton candies,

Of the blueberry sky sprouts.

Lick them in your house,

Ills they brought.

Selfishness you’ve got,

Happiness they’ve lost.
