“Everyone Has One” by Anonymous

The inspiration that I had gotten for this poem was from things that TV shows today focus on a lot. What they all had in common was that all the characters had secrets. The characters would do anything to make sure their secrets stayed with them. The secrets that some of the characters had were shocking, while others were not as bad. Characters would often find out the secrets of another character, which would either lead to someone dying or blackmail. Sometimes even both would occur. I decided to take what I saw in those shows and turn it into a poem because it's true everyone has a secret.

Everyone has one

It is either sweet or deadly

And who will be singing a sweet dying medley

Is yours as small as a mouse

One that isn’t so harmful

Or is it as big as a house

One that is quite an armful

Either way I know you have a secret

But who is going to keep it
