“Cupid Returns” by Jasmine Yang

I wrote the poem shown below in free verse. The poem was about Cupid because I was interested in Cupid at the time, inspiring romanticism. I want to convey the aesthetics of youth in this poem.

Cupid returns

With the same note, over and over again

No strings but softly through breeze

Cupid returns

Striking upon

May your arrow's aim be true?
My heart’s going to pop
