“Spring’s Rebirth” by Genevieve O'Connell

This poem is a very personal one to me, and I feel that it sums up my feelings about spring and new love and how the two can intertwine and connect with each other. It’s a very soft, delicate poem, which I feel really connects with the feeling and meaning I wanted to put out with the poem.

Spring’s Rebirth

like the blossoms of the cherry tree

love blooms,

soft in my palms, sweet in the air petals on my hand, tips of my fingers

and it is tender and kinder

than i have ever known

because it is spring

and it is you—

for who else would it be?
