With Christmas time coming soon, Heart of Gold decided to surprise BIBA with a recreated music video of the Christmas ballad ‘Fairytale of New York’ by the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl. The band spent four days: Monday, December 13th to Thursday, December 16th to film the scenes of the video.
As shown, this tribute to the legacy of Shane MacGowan, Kirsty MacColl and Irish culture corresponds scene to scene with the original music video, with scenes taking place in BIBA and parts of Beijing. Those involved in the making of this music video: Tod Lu, Andy Li, Mr. Fellows, River Li, Andy Oh, Sarah He, Miles O’Connell, Tommy Tao, Howie Li, Dennis Kuijpers, Jeson Wu, Evan Sun, Lisa Lu, Jerry Zhu, Richie Zhu, Sukyeom Lee, Chelsea Li, Joshua Royblat and Miroslava Proshina participated as actors. Dinglun Qu and Rosemary Basabe were in charge of filming, with the equipment provided by Mr. Izing. The song was recorded by Heart of Gold, and finally, Mr. Fellows provided the Irish folk instruments used in the video.
“I have a feeling, this year’s for me and you.”
