System

  • The HOUSE Program is a tool for students to build community.

  • There are 5 houses.

    • 仁 Ren (Red)

    • 义 Yi (Yellow)

    • 礼 Li (Green)

    • 智 Zhi (Orange)

    • 信Xin (Blue)

  • House points are awarded to each House throughout the year to reward their members for demonstrating Rigor, Respect, Responsibility, and positive Relationships.

Our Mission:

The House System here at Beijing International Bilingual Academy strives to support, augment, reinforce, and infuse the BIBA community which already offers a rigorous bilingual learning environment designed to empower students with multiple avenues for success within and beyond the classroom. The House Program specifically strives, through the opportunities it provides to both individuals and the House groups as a whole to:

  • Be rigorous and independent life-long learners

  • Develop compassionate and positive relationships

  • Respect and appreciate the people, property and the natural environment in which we live and work.

  • Understand their role and responsibility in a global community

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Students can earn House Points by participating in House activities and by exemplifying the 4R’s. Some House activities award points to students who participate, while others allow students to earn points by winning competitive challenges.

  • Sign ups for events and activities are often posted on Teams. For each House, there is a designated Teams channel. Check your Teams’ channel for regular updates.

    If you are not in your House Teams Channel, contact the House Organizational Team in either office 608 or 604

  • Unfortunately, students may not transfer from their assigned House.

    If you are having difficulty building relationships within your House, please contact your House Captain as soon as possible.

  • New students are assigned to Houses at the start of the year by the Admissions Office.

  • In MSHS, students are not only asked to participate in House activities, but are also encouraged to take on leadership roles and independently build relationships with in the House System.
